FAQS

GENERAL

What are your boarding and day care requirements?

A profile must be created on Gingr. Then we will check with your vet to make sure your dog is up to date on vaccines. We require all dogs to have: DHPP, Rabies, Bordetella, and a Fecal exam. The stool check exam must come back negative from any parasites or bacterial infections. Once your pet has been cleared from your vet, we will schedule a 6 hour evaluation. This is a temperament test to see how your dog does with staff, our facility and with other dogs.

What are your pick-up and drop-off times?

Drop off is 7 AM – 10 AM Monday through Sunday. Pick up is anytime by 7 PM Monday through Sunday. However, please remember that check out is by 10 AM to NOT incur a day care charge. Half day is $15 and a full day is $30. Please let us know at time of check in when you have an idea of your pick up time.

How do I make a reservation?

You can make a reservation by going online to: https://mylovefurpaws.gingrapp.com/front_end/login/email or by calling our Canine Concierge at 512-814-0193

What will my dog do all day?

At MLFP, we believe in giving your dog an “experience” and not just another day. Your dog will enjoy having play time with friends, climbing on the play equipment and learning structure and guidance from a trained Canine Specialist. This ensures that all dogs play well in a pack and remain safe. We do this by initially assigning dogs to a play group based on size, temperament and how they interact with friends. We have indoor and outdoor areas that your dog will play in throughout the day. To ensure every pup gets a break, we offer nap time from 11 AM to 1 PM and from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Dogs will relax in the nap room with soothing music playing on the Sonos speakers.

Do you have a small dog area?

Yes, we do! Our Small Paws Inn has a covered outdoor area and a nice yard for the dogs to play. If it is too cold, the dogs play indoors in the Small Paws Inn play area.

Are the dogs supervised at all times during off-leash play?

Yes, we would never leave dogs unattended. Our trained staff does an excellent job at making sure everyone has a great time playing safe with friends.

What happens if I cannot drop-off or pick-up my dog during MLFP business hours?

We suggest you drop off a day early, or there is a $50 late fee after a 10 AM drop off. If you are unable to pick up your dog by 7 PM, we will extend your stay another night and you may pick up first thing in the am. We open at 7 AM.

Do you provide treats for day care & boarding dogs?

We have many options for you: Frozen kongs made with all natural almond butter, organic plain yogurt, all natural raw honey and pumpkin. Bully sticks, greenies, small and large marrow bones, and we sell plenty of treats at the front.

Do you administer medications?

Yes, we do. There is a $2.00 fee to administer first medications and $1.00 for each additional medication (each time given). Diabetics: $10.00 per day for injections. Eye/Ear Cleanings: $5.00 per day to clean and apply medication.

Are you insured?

Absolutely

Can I tour your facility?

Yes. You can tour our facility. We only ask that you call or come in to schedule a tour. We DO NOT give tours without prior notice. You must schedule a tour with us in advance, no same day tours will be given.

Are the facilities well equipped with toys, bedding and supplies?

While we do not allowed toys in playgroups due to safety reasons, we will provide warm bedding and an orthopedic bed, and bowls.

Are there outdoor play areas?

Yes, we have 6 outdoor play areas for dogs to enjoy!

Do dogs ever get hurt?

We do our absolute best to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet, which is one of the reasons why we are so diligent in our temperament assessment evaluations. Even after a dog is accepted to daycare, we may ask a dog to leave if they have behavioral problems. However, during rough play it is possible for dogs to get minor scratches or scrapes, just like kids on a playground. Our staff is highly skilled in monitoring dog behavior. Incidents at MLFP are rare but it can happen.

When should I pay for the services?

During all PEAK BOARDING TIMES, we will require 100% deposit and it in nonrefundable 30 days or less. This allows us to serve all hotel guests with a place to stay. Because peak boarding times are so busy here at MLFP, we now require prepayment for all major holiday/peak boarding reservations. The prepayment amount is the total cost of the boarding reservation requested. HOLIDAY/PEAK BOARDING PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE SHOULD YOU CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION LESS THAN 30 DAYS IN ADVANCE. During peak boarding times (holidays, school vacations, etc.) we are unable to offer any refunds for early pickups. The dates of stay may not be modified before or during the stay and we need at least two weeks’ notice for changing dates, so that we can accommodate everyone.

Boarding

Is there an additional fee for boarding dogs to participate in daycare?

No, there is not. The dogs that board with us get the same playtime experience as our daycare dogs. We pride ourselves in offering your dog(s) more playtime than the average dog boarding/daycare facilities out there.

What should I bring when my dog boards?

Please bring a leash and PLEASE make sure your dog enters our facility with a leash on. Please PRE-BAG all food based on serving size. This helps us with organization and to make sure your dog is fed the exact amount that you would feed at home. If your dog requires meds, please make sure they are in pill organizers based on dose for AM, PM, etc.

Do I bring my own dog food?

Yes, and PLEASE PRE-BAG by serving size. If you forget food we can sell you some or you can per bowl.

Daycare

What are the daycare hours?

Our hours of daycare are 7 AM–7 PM every day of the week. We also provide half-day daycare which is 6 hours from the time of drop-off. PLEASE NOTE – Your pet(s) must be dropped off from 7–10 AM or a $50 late-fee will be added to your account and will be due upon pickup. Also, if you drop your dog off for a half-day of daycare and do not pick up within the 6 hour time window you will be charged per pet for a full day of daycare.

What happens if I don’t make it to pick-up by dog from daycare by 7:00?

If you cannot for some reason pick your dog(s) up by 7 PM they will be boarded overnight and a boarding fee will be added on to your account and will be due upon pick-up. If you pick your dog(s) up before 10 AM the next day no further charges other than the boarding fee will apply.

Does my dog get fed during his/her daycare visit?

Your dog(s) can be fed lunch if requested. We would simply ask that the meal is pre-bagged in the necessary amount and presented at the time off your dog(s) drop-off for daycare. Our normal lunch feeding time is generally at noon unless otherwise notified.
